My Grandad

My grandad Ron is old and grumpy with wrinkles
too. His eyes are the colour of the blue sky as
blue as it could be, his hair is as grey as it
could be. My grandad is very impatient because
he gets things done when he wants. Hes got a lot
of stuff on his mind that he worries about, most
of it is his cars and his house.
But when you think about it, he’s not that
bad after all.

My nanas hair is like the shining in the light.
Her eyes is like hazel nuts in morning light.
Her face is like crinkled paper araud a ball.
Her walk is like a turtle walking along the street.
Her brain is is a running machine.

Grandpa Allen (Age Awareness Week Poem)

Grandpa Allens hair is a bundle of snow. Gentle, white and crisp. It shines in the mid-day glare of the sun.

His body is a tree, it comes in many shapes and sizes. Tan yet pale, like a chameleon hiding from a predator.

His eyes are the blue endless ocean, like the ocean it has witnessed many things. Those eyes are a gate to a stream, where tears drop down from his face.

His teeth are painted white bricks, crumbling down slowly like an avalanche.
His smile is as bright as a thousand suns, warming your hearts, welcoming you.

His skin is the bark of a tree, the gentle creases grow deeper as the tree ages. Things live inside the tree, a gentle bird flapping its wings at a slow pace. A beating heart.

Making a postcard with our spelling words

In room  8 we had to make a postcard using our spelling words.

To Miss Pilcher

I am having a marvellous time here in anonymous land. A guerrilla came up to me he was very nice I didn’t find his name out but I know that he was a good influence on me. His breath smelt really bad so I encouraged him to brush his teeth from now on.

I went to a Remembrance day I was a representative for the peanut gang. At remembrance day I got compelled to cultivate my fruit. I bought an old book and I am going to preserve it.
